The European Music Awards are just around the corner, set to take place in Madrid on November 7th. However, Tokio Hotel fans may feel some disappointment; unfortunately for TH fans, there won’t be a Tokio Hotel sweep of the awards. Rather, it looks like the ladies might take the day, according to a report in MusicRooms.net—And who are these ladies? Namely Katie Perry and Lady Gaga. For fans who love both Tokio Hotel and Lady Gaga—herself a self-proclaimed Tokio Hotel fan—might just be the recipe for a perfect evening (meat dress aside). The blonde singer recently swept the VMA’s, so the EMA’s could prove to be a nice follow up.However, a Katy Perry nomination in the “Best World Stage Performance”—the same category in which Tokio Hotel is nominated—might just cause sour grapes, given Perry’s recent diss on Tokio Hotel at Sing Fest 2010 in Singapore in August. Time will tell if Tokio Hotel can win out over Perry like they did two years ago for “Best New Artist”.
