Guys, a couple weeks ago there was a man who came to my school[Broummana High School (his show comes on MBC 4 at 10:00)], Neshan. He talked to us about bullying. He asked all the intermediate students who think they are bullies to come onto the stage, and about half of them did. He then showed us a clip & a poem that really moved me (it's a true story!!!) :

The boy woke up, just 14 years old.
He brushed his teeth just like he'd been told.
He rushed to the door and grabbed his books.
Around and around he then looks.
From the second he reaches the bus the names start to be called.
They made fun of his clothes and the book-bag he hauled.
The boy never really fit in school.
Being smart just didn't make you cool.
I remember one day I saw him drenched in mustard.
Kids were throwing pizza and school custard.
Then one girl poured milk over his head.
He walked to the office wishing to be dead.
And the girl he liked had no heart at all.
He gave her a flower and told her to call.
She took the flower and threw it in the trash can.
And told him she'd never date such an ugly man.
So that night he said good night to his mother.
Kissed his dad and tucked in his little brother.
He put on his shoes and walked through the night.
Until his middle school crept into sight.
As he grabbed onto the rope he said his goodbye.
For then he decided he wanted to die.
So he took a step and down he fell.
He hung there right in front of his own hell.

All the kids but one boy walked off the stage. He said that he didn't believe someone would kill themselves over something "stupid" like that, and that pissed me off. I got out of my seat and went to the stage and told him off. I don't really remember what I said but I think I can try to:

"That's not true, kids do that everyday. Not only because of bullying, but other reasons too. My dad always tells me I'll never know pure and unconditional love until I have kids of my own, and if I love them more than I love him, I know that it would hurt so much to have that happen to a family member. Mothers have walked in on their children, hanging from the ceiling, the ceiling fan even. Just imagine; wouldn't it hurt you to find the one you love most swinging back and forth from the ceiling, dead? Because of something someone else did?"

I'm not sure if we have so many bullying problems here in Lebanon, but if there are, they need to stop! From personal experience, I understand what he felt and maybe if my issue hadn't stopped I might have done the same.

Guys, please, if you ever feel like you wanna let go, please don't! For any reason! If your life feels hopeless, if you miss somebody and feel like they're waiting for you, or if you just hate life, please don't! If you feel like nobody cares about you, I DO! Don't let go! Everybody has a purpose in this life!

and yeah, this gave some hope.
i know how's that to be called names.
when i started 5th grade, i came to a new class, we didn't actually know each other well, and because i'm kinda plump, some guys from my class were making fun of me. and it really hurt. i wanted to change class, and it still happens, tho we've been together for 3 and a half years now. And i think i've been even abused. Mentally and physically.
but i feel so bad for those kids who're being abused right now. and usually. :'/
we should be a support to each other, not an obstacle.
