In 2010, MTV News launched that Tokio Hotel is in our tournament inaugural Musical March Madness
almost as an afterthought, pasting them as a seed # 16 and putting them
against the # 1 Coldplay with the assumption that they would probably
lose.
Only they did not.
In fact, thanks to the unwavering support of their fanbase, Tokio Hotel crushed Coldplay and began a remarkable journey of two weeks where they beat highly favored bands like Radiohead , Vampire Weekend and Owl City before losing to the eventual champion Coheed and Cambria in a controversial confrontation Final Four.
In summary, we have underestimated TH, so when it came time to present our 2011 MMM bracket
, we make sure they make the cut ... this time as a seed # 14 (when
will the selection committee was to give them the respect that deserve
?!?). And although they are currently working hard on the successor to their 2009 Humanoid album, the boys took time to answer ... and thank his fans for their support.
