Using Tokio Hotel to correct people's grammar here:
Unfortunately, most of the time I see the word comprise headed for the newspaper, it's used incorrectly, as in this example:
The 18-year-old Kaulitz brothers comprise half of the band Tokio Hotel.
No, Tokio Hotel comprises the Kaulitz brothers and two other players. The Kaulitz brothers make up half the German group.
Is comprised of is wrong; use is composed of. Make up or constitute can substitute as well.
