| BRAVO: You had an emergency appendix surgery. What happened?
Gustav:
Two days after New Year's I woke up with extreme stomachache. But I
just made myself a cup of tea and thought it would go away on it's own
again anyway. I did get a bit better actually. But in the evening, the
pain got heavier, and I decided to call a friend of mine after all.
BRAVO: You then went to the hospital immediately?
Gustav: No, I foolishly didn't want to go see a doctor first. I completely underestimated the situation.
But then my buddy came to see me and convinced me to go to the hospital, thank god.
BRAVO: Did you go into surgery right away?
Gustav: The doctors ran a test and then operated me immediately, yes.
BRAVO: A ruptured appendix can get pretty bad. How dangerous was it really?
Gustav: The doctors told me if I would have come to see them a bit later, the situation could have tunred out pretty bad.
Everyone knows that a ruptured appendix is dangerous.
I can't explain myself why I behaved the way I did. I have to thank my friend a lot!
BRAVO: How long did the surgery take? Was everything alright?
Gustav:
The surgery lasted one hour, under general anaesthetic. They cut three
hole sin my stomache to operate. 3 days later, on January 5th, I could
leave the hospital again.
BRAVO: Hare you still in pain?
Gustav: The pain is almost gone. But of course my whole stomache doesn't feel really great right now either. | |
