| Subject: Kalimba Denied Being Offended By Tokio Hotel Fri Nov 27, 2009 6:03 pm | |
| The case of alleged discrimination against Kalimba opened the debate. The German group Tokio Hotel denies having offended the Mexican singer opts for silence.
There are two versions. The first ensures that members of the German band Tokio Hotel waiting for the elevator but that, when opened the doors, they found Kalimba and then decided not to climb because they would not share it with a black man.
The other version is that Tokio Hotel Kalimba never met in an elevator and that the only contact was by far, and that "security issues" no one can approach the German band during their visit to other countries.
The scene would have happened two weeks ago in Acapulco during the Awards ceremony Telehit.
The first thesis is supported by two close friends of Kalimba, Poncho Vera and Jorge "El Burro" Van Rankin, who wrote in their newspaper columns that the members of Tokio Hotel have been shown not only racists but also arrogant with the team Telehit production and in general with the public.
"I have," wrote Van Rankin-who at one time they rode in the elevator opened and these little kids came and Kalimba (Tokio Hotel) got out to not live with the singer. "
Poncho Vera was not basing its eyewitness also said things "they told me."
A spokesman for Universal Music, the label of German musicians, denied the allegations: "At all times I was with them and never saw a strange attitude of Tokyo, by contrast, always friendly and I noticed a readiness to salute all fans.
Kalimba himself ignored the issue in an interview at the end of the event.
Asked about the alleged problem with the German band, he replied: "I do not know, I have no problem, I love them all, if there was a problem maybe was not yours because I had."
The rumor, denied by some and fed by others, has sparked controversy around a musical called racism.
Earlier in the Kalimba suffered another act of discrimination in December 2005.
He himself narrated that he had an altercation with a customer of a brothel who made racist remarks.
The situation was so serious that the singer ended up giving a bottle to the attacker, who insisted on insulting him by calling him "black fucking.
Johnny Laboriel remember that passage and criticized him, because he says that being black has never been a source of discrimination, at least in his case.
"To tell you black is no reason to give the bottle at someone. That just shows you are self-conscious. "
That thought earned him the enmity of some relatives of Kalimba. Erika Saba, a former companion of the young performer in the late OV7 group says that during his stay in that group she never witnessed any acts of racial discrimination against M'Balia Kalimba or sister in Mexico or Latin America.
Duda even the reasons that sparked the controversy: "The safest thing is that Tokio Hotel would not ride the elevator by artist ego issues, not by racism but because they wanted the elevator to themselves."
The Web has similar rumors in Tokyo are accused of being Nazis Hotel but none offers tests and everything is based on speculation, including the ridiculous argument that putting their song "Monsoon" is a bit backwards in that " clearly heard, "Glory to Hitler" in Spanish.
Kalimba shelve has given the rumors. Its representative in Westwood (the company that organizes its work agenda) said the singer has never confirmed the alleged discrimination and, by contrast, was happy to return to Mexico City after the awards ceremony.
The source said that after Telehit awards, the singer did not make any comments about what happened.
Instead, it insures that it is satisfied that the members of Tokio Hotel were the most contentious during the making of this award, because in their status as 'international stars' demands that we close the entire floor of a luxury hotel for them and people working .
This coincides with what was described by Jorge Van Rankin, who wrote in his area: "The thing that struck me was the unbearable attitude and arrogance, and a significant discrimination of people of brown color, whether drivers or persons mounting .
To close the chapter, Kalimba told his close aides that he was tired of the rumors and all they asked was to stay quiet and get to work.
The Lebanese FanClub's Opinion:Tokio Hotel are NOT racists. OFCOURSE How could They refuse to share the Elevator with Kalimba and share a Dinner With Jay-Z and Pose next to these people?
Next Time You want to spread bad rumors about Tokio Hotel, make sure to say something that makes sence! Not Bullshits -.-
