What I'm trying to say is that Adam isn't copying Bill, he is inspired by him as I am inspired of Audrey Hepburn.
Bill and Adam's style is called androgynous it has existed for years; Bill didn't event it so you can't possibly say that Adam is copying Bill. Come one lots of guys wear eye make up (example: the singer of Green Day), lots wear black nailpolish (example: all the band members of Bullet for my Valentine), lots wear leather pants with studs (it all started with the Punk style) and Bill's hair is inspired by the Punk years.
So you can't say that Adam is copying Bill they just happen to have the same taste in clothes and that is why Adam wanted to go shopping with Bill since he (Bill) has amazing style and both guys happen to like the same stuff, so just get over it, be happy Adam isn't saying that he's better then Bill etc...
