The Copyright Society of Germany (GEMA) broke off negotiations to extend the license agreement the video site YouTube, said that YouTube will pay for music used in the videos are uploaded to the Web site.
A German organization that represents musicians and songwriters who want to remove hundreds of videos from YouTube are in a dispute about how the site should pay for the music you use in your site, in addition, many German artists and musicians have to say that Youtube eliminate more than 600 videos that are using them "illegal."
GEMA is an organization that represents 60,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers in Germany, and asks TV channels, websites and radio stations to pay a fee each time you play a song from their artists. Last year there were negotiations with the owners of YouTube and Google, to try to renew the contract which had expired on April 1.
Google said in a statement they were "disappointed" by the decision of GEMA. "The more videos are uploaded to YouTube, more popular become, Youtube could generate money to share with the holders of copyright representing composers" the company said the owner of Youtube.
Because of this legal dispute, it is possible that many videos of Tokio Hotel videos disappear from the portal, or maybe it only affects Germany.
