| wating for the perfect girl when their fans lost all the hope, Tokio Hotel announced they're coming to Belgrade.Popular Twins Bill and Tom found time for our interview. They answered OK!’s questions which will definitely make their Serbian fans happy.
What would you like to say to your Serbian fans? Bill: We are sincerely more than excited because of the concert in Belgrade and the chance to have fun with our fans in Serbia. We are always trying to give our best, the production is on a high level and we always have cool surprises for our loyal audience.
What is the best and what is the worst thing about being in a band? Tom: The worst thing would definitely be Georg’s “irritating” bass guitar playing, and the best one is, of course, the chance to meet loads of pretty girls worldwide. Bill: It’s always been our dream, to make music, play in a band and make money out of it. When all those stuff come true, you can’t be happier. Life can’t be better!
Who were your childhood music heroes? Bill: We never really had idols or any bands we’d look up to. When I was a kid, I listened to David Bowie the most, but when it comes to our carrier we always tried to avoid any influences and to think of something original. Tom: Of course there are bands and artists we like. In my case, those would be Aerosmith and Stereophonics, but when it comes to music we always tried to do our own thing.
Your favorite three songs that you enjoy listening to are? Tom: It’s a tough question because the answer changes daily. On today’s list are Jay-z’s “Empire State of Mind”, “Dude looks like a Lady” by Aerosmith” and “Looking for Freedom” by David Hasselhoff. And of course, I was kidding about the last one, it’s a funny joke, isn’t it?
Tell us a secret. Bill: I tend to cry sometimes. A sentimental film can inspire me, or when someone hurts an animal – especailly dogs, it just kills me every time.
What happens 5 minutes before the concert, when you’re about to step on stage? Bill: Maybe it sounds a bit weird, but we’re really nervous before the show so we usually just walk in circles in our wardrobe. And couple of seconds before we hit the stage we just gather like a sports team to motivate each other for the upcoming show.
The band Tokio Hotel was founded 10 years ago. What would be the most memorable moment of all time? Bill: There were a lot of those moments, but something that we can’t forget is “Monsoon”, our first single that reached #1 on the charts, winning the European MTV award and going to America. Tom: Our concert in front of 500 000 people in Paris was something exceptional that we’ll never forget.
What’s the secret of your success? Tom: We don’t really have a secret, recipe or formula. We just try to be what we are and enjoy the job we’re doing. We love our fans and we feel awesome when we’re making music, and that’s it. Aside from my great looks
Who would you like to collaborate with the most? Tom and Bill: Without any doubts, the answer is clear – Aerosmith!
Do you like Lady Gaga? Bill: She’s totally OK! She does her job, follows her ideas and she’s different.
List 5 things you always find OK! Bill: My family, my friends, my dogs, my brother and my band.
What about love? Are you in love at the moment? Bill: No, I’m not, and that’s a shame. But when you’re waiting for the right person to show up, it’s logical that you’ll have to wait for a little longer. Or that’s what I think anyway. Tom: Hey, unlike my brother, I’m always in love with different girls!
How do you see yourself in 10 years? Bill: I hope we’ll still be into this Tokio Hotel thing. Which means the same as now – band, music and gigs.
If you had a time machine, where would you go? Tom: Hmm, I wouldn’t travel that much. I’d just go a few nights back when I played the wrong chord in the bridge of the song “Humanoid”!
What Hollywood hottie you’d like to see in one of the future Tokio Hotel videos? Tom: This is a good question, but I still can’t decide between Jessica Alba and Megan Fox.
Who would get your new song as a present? Bill: My mama.
How would you title your Tokio Hotel story? Bill: It’s not over until it’s finished.
