Part 7

Sorry I couldn't post yesterday, I started to watch some videos and then I didn't have much time to write Razz

So here it is now XD

The next day………

At precisely ten minutes to six Karen woke up, looked at her watch and sighed. Her mental clock was haywire, she wanted to get up at ten minutes to seven but woke up exactly an hour before that. She turned in her bed, and remembered that she had meet Richard Gere yesterday. She thought all of that was a dream but to make sure that it wasn’t she looked at the poster which he had signed for her.

She got up and sat on her bed, then opened the drawer of the table, which was never touched before. And in that drawer she had kept a watch which she had never worn in her life except for her 7th birthday. She took it out and it was still working, she opened the strap and put it on her left wrist.

Later in school………

After wearing that old watch Karen was starting to pay attention to the things she had never even cared about, like the steps to school or the steps of a stair.

Later than evening whilst she was going home and counting the steps, she suddenly hit her forehead and said out loud ‘SHIT! I had to meet Bill!’ she looked at her watch ‘It only has been 12 minutes I should go back………’ she turned the other way and still counting the steps she ran back to school.

Outside the school grounds…………

Karen reached school, and took a right turn so that she does not meet the principle in school. She ran, the back ground endless and infinite. She took a left turn into the basketball court and then went straight to the horse stables. She turned again to go behind them but there was no Bill, she turned the other way and went to the back gate. When she went out she saw Bill a long way from the gate. He had to talk about something important so Karen started to run towards him.

As Karen was running towards Bill she heard a voice saying “As she ran towards Bill, she forgot that her school’s principal always drives out from the back gate at precisely 2:20, and as it is that exact time the engine came to life,” when Karen heard this voice speaking she turned around. ‘What?’ she looked at the sky ‘WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!’ “Karen cursed the heavens in futility,” ‘I am not cursing the heavens, what are you?’ As she stood there no answer came, she looked down and Bill had gone, she turned and the principle was standing there half on the road and half of him inside the car. ‘What’s wrong Karen? I heard you talking to yourself,’ Mr. Mandalay asked. ‘Would you believe something that I am going to say?’ she asked. ‘Yes, of course. Tell me anything, if anything is wrong you can also tell me that too.’ ‘Sir, I just started to hear a voice……….’ Karen said. ‘What kind of voice?’ ‘It’s narrating,’ she said while still hearing the voice talking. “As she told Mr. Mandalay this, he thought she was going mad and needed to go to a psychiatrist.” ‘Sir, do you think I am going mad and I need to go to a psychiatrist?’ when she asked this Mr. Mandalay’s face went into a bit of shock.

‘Uh, well yes. But who did you know this?’ Mr. Mandalay asked in confusion. ‘UGH! When you come to teachers for help that’s when they say you’re crazy!’ Karen thought to herself and started to walk. ‘If you need any help Karen, I will be here.’ ‘Yeah, yeah,’ she said to herself.

Later that day…..

Karen was walking the streets, feeling really annoyed by the stupid voice in her head. ‘Would you please shut up?’ she screamed. Two people were walking by they thought she said this to them they gave her a look but she didn’t care. As she was walking she saw Bill walking in front of her. “She saw Bill, she didn’t’ know what to do. Her heart skipped a beat…..” ‘Oh why don’t you just SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!’ she yelled. Bill turned and asked ‘What are you talking about?’
‘Uh, nothing. And by the way what did you want to talk to me about?’ Karen asked. ‘One minute let me remember,’ he put his hand on his chin and started to think. “Karen couldn’t wait any longer, her impatience getting the best of her.” But actually her impatience for the voice was running short. ‘WOULD YOU SHUT UP ALREADY AND GET OUT OF MY HEAD!’ Karen yelled with all her might. Bill raised an eyebrow and said with an amused voice ‘What are you talking about?’ ‘Nothing this voice just keeps bugging me!’ ‘What voice?’

‘It’s a stupid voice which I started to hear today, it narrates my whole life. I hate it! It’s so irritating! It says things which I really don’t mean like it doesn’t actually know me!’ Karen explained. ‘O...okayy, *ahem* so, I wanted to tell you that…..Uh, hope you won’t mind that Jen..I mean Amélie is also on the case you two are on….’ Bill said nervously. “When Bill had said that Karen couldn’t help but to punch him,” when the voice said this Karen literally punched him right in the face! ‘Oh I am REALLY sorry! I don’t know the voice said this and I acted involuntary,’ Karen apologized. ‘You know you should really go to a shrink,’ Bill said and went the other way. ‘What?! I am perfectly fine!’

Next day……

Karen had been sent to go to a shrink by her mom, Jazmyn was laughing the whole day at her. Now sitting on the couch, Karen was really irritated by all the questions and mostly the voice. ‘So by all what you have told me, I think you have Schizophrenia,’ the shrink told her. The voice had abruptly stopped, ‘You think I have Schizophrenia? What do you think I am? A mental patient!’ ‘Yes, if you take some medicines that I will tell you, you will be a whole lot better.’ ‘No, I don’t want any of your stupid medicines, I needed some clear evidence that I am not mad, but you put the gun in my head and told me that I am!’ Karen got up and went out. She stood at a bus station with all the other people standing beside her, she got irritated and the voice started again ‘As Karen stood at the bus station, waiting quietly and the time ticking away, she didn’t know that this was her last day on Earth.’ ‘WHAT? I AM GONNA DIE?! WHEN? HOW? WHERE? AHHHHH? TELL ME?’ she yelled, all the people looked at her like she was some mentally challenged person.

Later…….

They were all, at the Brown mansion, Karen was completely fumed that Amélie had solved half of the mystery and thought that it was the ex-lover of the wife, and so did Jazmyn both of them were on the same page, except for Karen. She thought it was someone else, the brother, as she knew that her sister was competitive with her, why can’t this brother be so competitive that he killed his own brother out of spite or any other reason? As Karen thought this the voice suddenly said "As Karen didn’t know that the brother Niles Abbott had…….."

Part 10

"As Karen didn’t know that the brother Niles Abbott had actually committed the murder of Abbott Brown and had murdered him because of Charlotte Abbott. And the proof which Karen didn’t know off was lying at the table, if she had known she would have taken it but she didn’t know about it.” But as Karen could hear the voice she hurriedly snapped out of her dazedness and went to the coffee table beside the chair on which Niles was sitting. As everyone was leaving Niles wasn’t paying much attention, so she picked up the paper which was she thought might be the proof. When they outside no one noticed she was reading something. Everything was in place…she knew who the murderer was and she was so happy. But how could she do this? “Everything was in place for Karen, she just needed to tell the police this and so she shall.” When she heard that an idea struck in her head! She had to just call the police and put Niles behind the bars!

Later that day…….

Karen had finally beaten Amélie; she had waned to do that since she met her. She was so happy, but one mystery needed to be solved, the voice and why did it tell her that she’s going to die? She was too puzzled by this, and too much confused. This was the only stupid and dumb mystery that needed to be solved; she just wanted that voice to end. But then she thought that the voice helped her to solve the mystery. But she really wanted to know why she’s hearing it. She was watching TV with Jazmyn; well Jazz was the one who was watching not Karen. When someone on TV started to talk Karen recognized the voice and suddenly jumped and yelled ‘She’s the voice in my head! She’s the one narrating me, I mean my life!’ ‘Really? She’s Miranda Blunder,’ Jazmyn told her. ‘Haha, then some Blunder must’ve happened in her life!’ Karen laughed. ‘Uh ,no! She’s my favorite author! All the characters in her novel die.’ ‘That’s what I heard too.’ ‘Seriously? Wow then this must be real then,’

‘I am telling you it is! I need to meet her!’ Karen said. ‘I don’t think you will, she’s in writer’s block and she won’t talk until she finds out how to kill her main character. I read that on the net.’ ‘Well, she will meet me, I am her main character I am gonna die! And I am NOT going to let that happen!’

Part 11

The next day…….

Karen tried her best to meet Miranda but couldn’t. Everywhere she went, they wouldn’t give her address. She got one and that was not hers or either no one was willing to give. She was so mad that she couldn’t get where that author lived, or even the stupid address. Karen was steamed and she went to one of the publishers and was standing at the counter waiting for the person to come. ‘Hello, may I help you?’ the person asked. ‘Yes, do you know Miranda Blunder’s phone number?’ ‘Yes I do, but who are you?’ ‘I am one of her main characters in her latest book.’ when she said that the person sitting on the counter thought that she was mad and threw her out of the building. ‘OUCH! That hurt!’ she got up and dusted herself. The somehow from somewhere a leaflet came from thin air. She picked it up, and read the address, she would have thought this was a joke before she started to hear that voice but now she hurriedly went to the address. But when she reached the address there was nothing except an abandoned building. She read the leaflet again and found a number, she ran to the nearest phone booth. Put some money in it and dialed the number, it rang, and rang. No one picked it up. But as she was going to hang it up someone picked it up.

‘Hello?’ asked the same voice she always heard. ‘Hi, this is Karen Smith and you might Miranda Blunder right?’ after that the phone hung up.

Later that day……

Karen had met with Miranda and had gotten the book’s rough layout. Miranda hadn’t typed yet that Karen had died so that’s why maybe she was alive. She was in the bus, reading about her life, all the days she had not heard the voice, everything from the start. After a while she had read it whole, and she made a decision. She went to Miranda’s apartment and gave her the script. ‘You know I have read it all till the end and I think that without killing me in this the story won’t end. It’s your master piece and I think you should do what you want too,’ Karen said and went to a park and sat there until every day of her life was dramatized in her mind……..

Part 12

After Mid-night……..

Karen was still sitting there, it had started to rain heavily but she didn’t care. The after a while she saw someone sitting next to her, she didn’t look she just wanted every second to be like eternity. ‘Hey! Karen what the hell are you doing here?!’ someone asked, she looked up and it was Bill. ‘Nothing, I was sitting here. What’s wrong with you?’ ‘Uh, I broke up with Jenifer….’ ‘And who the HELL is Jenifer?’ Karen asked trying to cheer herself a little bit. ‘She’s Amélie, Jenifer is her real name. She was an undercover agent and she had to change her name for that.’ ‘L-O-L.’ ‘Why did you say that? Was that humorous she was the love of my life, it feels like my gut has been ripped out in front of me. Can you top that?’ Bill asked sarcastically. ‘Yeah as a matter of fact I can. I am going to die any day now….’ ‘Why? What happened?’ ‘You know the voice I told you. The voice it actually of an author, she’s writing her master piece and I am her main character and I am going to DIE!’ ‘No way!’ he started to laugh. ‘SHUT UP! And take this seriously!’ Karen hit him. ‘OUCH!’ ‘I know that hurt!’ ‘How are you gonna survive?’ Bill stuck his tongue out. ‘I am NOT joking!’ ‘Okay! But how?’ ‘I don’t know.’ ‘Oh…..Well, you need to spend your day like whatever you wanted to do, you are going to do it today!’ ‘No,’ Karen replied.

Next day……..

Karen was standing at the bus stop, waiting for the 11 o’clock bus. As the bus was coming someone was running and pushed her on the road, something out of her watch came out when it broke and it went and struck the tire of the bus. Karen stood there in amazement, who can a watch save her life? Well it did! And by the way, something of the watch had gone inside her arm.

After some hours…….

‘AAAAGGGGGGHHHH!!! IT HURTS!!!’ Karen screamed. ‘Okay just one minute and there we go. But just got to tell you, there will be a piece of our watch embedded in your arm. Don’t freak out! Take it as a miracle; no one nowadays gets their life saved by a watch!’ the doctor laughed as he took out the glass fragments of the watch. ‘So? Do I care?’ Karen asked very annoyed with the doctor. ‘Yes you should care. It’s your arm, not mine Razz

’ ‘I know that you idiot!’ she said under her breath. Jazmyn came running in the room, ‘Karen we solved it we solved it! It was true! Niles was the murderer!’ ‘I know that already and I was the one to solve it not you!’ ‘I know, I know! I just want to take some credit Razz

’ ‘I am too pissed off, just stop this or else I’ll kill you here.’ ‘Okay miss bad manners.’

The next day at school……….

‘Hey Karen, wow that was so cool that you solved that mystery.’ ‘Yeah, absolutely great.’ ‘Astonishing.’ ‘Yeah and the way you survived, wow your watch saved you!’ ‘Yes, okay please guys I need some air over here.’ Mostly all of the students from her school were talking to her. She didn’t know what to do she was popular now. And that was just the beginning of a mystery story.
