CHAPTER 6

'What happened?' - Sandy asked Tom in the car on their way to the hospital. She got so worried. He couldn't leave her this early. Not now. Not now when she needs him the most. It seemed like Bill's illness affected more on Sandy than on Bill.
'He got sick, started throwing up and i realized he has a fever.' - Tom answered while he was senselessly fast driving to the hospital.

'Billie?' - she asked sitting by his bed.
'He's still sleeping.' - Georg said when he came into the room and sat next to Sandy by Bill's bed.
'How is he? Will he be okay?' - Sandy asked Georg and Gustav also came in at that moment.
‘Doctors gotta do some tests first.’ – Gustav answered Sandy’s question – ‘But he’s been sleeping for three hours now.’
‘And why did Tom come for me now and not earlier?’
‘Well it all started at home.’ – Gustav continued. – ‘He started throwing up and we thought it was normal. But it was like that for two hours. Then we decided to come to the hospital. Then we thought the doctors would give him something to make him feel better. But nothing. He…fainted and…didn’t wake up for three hours now.’ – he looked through the window.
‘And yet you didn’t call me when he started throwing up.’ – Sandy protested.
Tom was leaned on the wall contrary to Bill’s bed, staring at his somnifacient brother, looking so peacefully. –‘That happens every once in a while. We weren’t so worried ‘cause we kind of got used to it.’ – Tom looked calmed.
‘What?! Nobody told me he gets sick.’ – she said.
‘He didn’t want to tell you.’ – Tom answered.
‘What? Who? Bill?’
‘Yeah.’
‘But you were supposed to be the smart ones and call me. I’m your friend.’
‘You would take him to the hospital every single time. Doctor said this is normal. That stupid cancer is killing him, Sandy. Accept it. And he didn’t want you to look at him different, to lament him. But it’s okay. Everything will be over soon.’ – Tom finally smiled, only for a second.
‘A?’
‘Doctors said he could have a surgery. They can take it out and…everything will be okay.’
‘Maybe we could have out concert then. ‘ – Georg said and he and Gustav smiled.
‘That’s what you think.’ – she whispered down.
‘Yes?’ – Tom asked her to repeat what she said.
‘Nothing, nothing.’

The guys went out for a walk on a fresh air. Sandy was laying on an empty bed next to Bill’s, thinking about the future.
Guys were in a fallacy ‘cause they thought Bill would have a surgery. She was the only one that knew about him not having it. She didn’t agree with his decision because he was totally okay with leaving the whole world. With leaving her. He obviously didn’t know how many hearts he’ll break.
Tears filled her eyes and one drop ran down her red cheek.
‘Dude, why are you crying?’
She heard someone’s voice, who didn’t seem familiar. Plus, it was dark and she didn’t see anything. She thought she was alone in the room.
‘Who’s there?’ – she asked as she quickly sat on a bed, staring at the dark.
‘Nass, it’s me. Bill. Remember me?’
‘What? Bill?’
‘Yeah, man.’
‘Your voice…’ – Sandy said.
‘Eh, yeah. It’s probably ‘cause all those throwing. It literally kills your voice.’ – he smiled.
‘You’re awake.’ – she ran to turn on the light.
‘Aaaa! Light.’ – he put his arm above his eyes.
‘Oh, sorry. I can turn it off.’
‘Yes, please.’ – she turned off the light and came closer to his bed. – ‘How do you feel? I should probably call the doctors.’
‘Nah. I’m okay. They’ll come here soon anyway.’
‘Oh, the visiting round, yes.’
‘I’m…okay. Better than before. Tell me, for how long have I been sleeping?’
‘Emm. For about thirteen hours?’
‘Woosh. Hey, where are you? I can’t see you.’
‘Haha I’m right in front of your bed.’
‘Come here.’ – he looked out for her hand.
‘Hehe.’ – she took his hand.
Then he pulled her closer to him and she lied down next to Bill.
She felt much better and calmed now. He was awake, with her. Again. And she stopped thinking about what will happen. She decided to enjoy this moments with her best friend. She was laying on his arm, he was telling her some jokes. Nothing else mattered.

Oh dear god!!! Please, Bill, don't die, take that damn surgery and shut up!! I wouldn't stand your death.

CHAPTER 7

'Good morning!' - Sandy said loud, forgetting she was at hospital.
'Shhh!' - Tom warned her, sitting on a chair next to Bill's bed in which she was also laying.
'Oh. He's still sleeping.' - she slowly and carefully came out of the bed and stretched herself.
Gustav and Georg were sitting by a window and playing cards.
‘Yeah, I totally won! Ha!’ – Gustav bragged.
‘Shut up. I know you cheated.’ – Georg said.
‘I did not!’ – Gustav replied with a surprised face.
‘You totally did!’
‘Not!’
‘Did!’
Gustav rolled his eyes and they started playing cards again.
‘Kindergarten is closed, eh?’ – Sandy said to Tom looking at those two fighting.
‘No’ – Tom replied – ‘they’re just too big babies for the kindergarten.’
‘Haha. High five, dude!’ – Sandy laughed.
Then, all of a sudden, something started beeping. Some sharp sound got them confused when they realized it was coming from a machine next to Bill’s bed. Red straight line was moving on the device, making that horrible sound.
Then the doctors ran into Bill’s room. Lots of doctors and nurses. It became noisy.
Guys and Sandy were still confused. Didn’t know what was going on.
‘What went wrong?’ – the doctors were talking to each other while doing something on Bill.
‘What…what happened?’ – Sandy growled.
‘Take them out of the room!’ – one of the doctors yelled when nurses started pushing them out.
‘No. I’m not leaving Bill! Tell us what’s happening to him!’ – Tom disapproved and ran back to his brother.
‘Okay, Sir, please go outside.’ – one doctor asked him politely.
But Tom didn’t listen. He continued standing next to his brother, holding his hand and asking – ‘What happened, for God’s sake?’
‘Sir, we’ll explain you everything later. But now we gotta take care of your brother.’ – doctor answered.
Tom finally let Bill’s hand and slowly stepped out of the room. Outside, in front of the room door, guys and Sandy were waiting for him, with sad faces.
‘What happened, Tom? What did the doctors say?’ – they asked, all in one voice.
‘They’ll let us know later.’ – he said with a dead voice and just passed by next to them, looking down, going out of the hospital.
Georg and Gustav sat on the chairs in front of the room, waiting for something to happen. Sandy followed Tom and went outside after him.
‘Are you alright?’ – she asked behind Tom when she finally cought him up.
He turned to her and looked at her sarcastically – ‘Are you kidding me? I have no fucking idea what’s happing with my brother. He could be dead now. Doctors said NOTHING! I’m falling apart these days. How could I be alright? Ha, Sandy, tell me, how could I possibly be alright now?!’
She didn’t say anything. She knew how he felt – the exact same way she did. So she just came closer to him, wide opened her arms when Tom crashed into her hug with tears running down his face.
‘Dude, i’m sorry I just yelled. But I’m so stressed out. I know it’s hard on you, too. Sorry.’ – he apologized.
‘Hey, man, don’t worry.’ – she pat his back.
At that moment, Georg and Gustav ran to them outside, with horrible looks on their faces.
‘What’s wrong?’ – asked Tom, letting off Sandy.
Georg answered breathless – ‘Bill is…’
He didn’t even finish when somebody screamed its ass off.

Sandy quickly opened her eyes, waking up and realizing she was screaming.
‘Sandy?’ – Tom was standing next to her while she was laying on a bed next to Bill.
‘Tom? What the..?’ – she got up quickly – ‘Pinch me.’ – she said to Tom.
‘What?’
‘Just pinch me. Pinch me!’
Tom looked confused – ‘I ain’t gonna pinch you.’
‘Just freaking pinch me, dude!’
Tom finally pinched her with a confusing face.
‘Auch!’ – Sandy moaned.
‘You told me to pinch you.’ – Tom laughed – ‘ But, Nass, did you have a nightmare? You yelled ‘’no’’ pretty loud. You even woke Bill up.’
‘A? Bill!’ – she looked at her friend who was obviously woken up.
She came to him and hugged him tight.
‘Nass?’ – Bill said confusedly.
‘You are alive!’ – she yelled with a happy voice.
‘Yeah, I’m alive. But could you please let go now. You’re kind of choking me.’ – Bill replied.
‘Ah!’ – she moaned happily. – ‘Hey, where are Gustie and Georgie?’
‘Emm, hello, Miss You-scream-too—loud!’ – Georg said.
Sandy turned and saw them playing cards by the window. They looked at her weird, with a poker face.
‘Everything’s…like it was.’ – Sandy said and looked at Bill. – ‘Except you’re all fine.’ – she smiled.
‘Ye-‘ – he wanted to reply, but then that horrible sound started beeping again, breaking Bill’s words.
‘Nooo!’ – Sandy yelled immediately trying to override beeping.
But she realized her dream came true when the doctors came in.

No, no, no, NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE CAN'T BE DEAD!!!! TELL ME HE'S NOT DEAD!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!! NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (translation from hystericall moment: post soon!!!)

CHAPTER 8

'Tom...' - Sandy asked for Tom. - 'Tom, please, i need you. I'm not feeling fine.' - she held onto the wall while the doctors were passing by next to her with Bill in the bed. He was shaking with his eyes closed.
'Tom!' - she asked for him again.
'Nass, ask Georg to help you.' - Tom replied and ran after the doctors who were taking Bill to the OLR.
'Tom...' - she closed her eyes and passed out.
Georg was standing right next to her, looking after poor Bill in the bed, when Sandy almost fell on the floor. He held her and took her to sit on a chair.

'Hey, Gustav, what happened?' - Tom asked when he came back to Bill's room and saw Sandy lying in a bed now.
'She... collapsed.' - Gustav answered when he took a glass of water and gave it to Sandy.
'A? Are you okay, Nass?' - he took her hand and kissed it. Then put his other hand on her forehead. -'Man, you're burning.'
’I’m okay.’ – she took his hand off of her forehead.
‘Did you call the doctors?’ – Tom asked looking at Gustav and Georg.
‘Yes, Tom, stop worrying.’ – Sandy answered with a strong voice instead of them.
‘Well I’m sorry I haven’t been here when you passed out. I was trying to find out what happened with Bill. Don’t be this strenuous.’ – he rolled his eyes.
‘Dude, what’s wrong with you? I’m not strenuous. I’m just not feeling fine and in a mood for arguing here with you. Why do you always have to think it’s about you. Tom, not the whole world is going around you.’ – Sandy replied.
‘Hey, guys, calm down. Both of you!’ – Gustav tried to stop their fight but it was already too late.
Tom continued – ‘Of course the world isn’t turning around me because it’s going around YOU!’
‘Oh! Oh! Yeah, of course. I’m the one who always needs to be in the centre of the attention. Oh, wait! THAT’S YOU!’ – they started arguing really loud.
‘Come on, we all know..’
‘No! I think you should…’
‘HAHAHA. No!’
And the argue continued when Tom suddenly ran out of the room, leaving Sandy there yelling to herself.
‘Oh where the hell is he going now?!’ – she got even more mad.

Tom ran out of the hospital and stood there on the rain for a few minutes. He was trying to think through and forget about that fight – both in the same time.
He got in the car and put his hands on the flounce. Thinking should he drive off or not.

‘I’m gonna look for him.’ – Georg walked out of the room, trying to find Tom.
Sandy and Gustav stayed in the room. She was looking all over the room, and he was looking at her.
‘What!?’ – she finally asked after a while.
‘Nothing.’ – Gustav answered with a serious face.
‘Okay, the only time I saw you this serious was when Mr. sunny died.’
‘Okay, first of all Mr. sunny was my first and only hamster. Mom told me he ran away, but he actually…’ – Gustav stopped talking.
‘Are you crying?’ – she looked at him confused.
‘No.’ – he said with a crying voice.
‘Come on, Gustie, we both know your mom didn’t put Mr. sunny in the fridge on purpose.’
‘Yeah, yeah. Ah, he always liked to climb.’ – he sigh. – ‘Ah, but that’s not what I was trying to say.’ – he looked at her serious again – ‘What was that?’
‘What was what?’
‘That fight between Tom and you. Why? I don’t understand it. You just started yelling at each other all of a sudden.’
‘He always wants to be in the centre of an attention. I just can’t take it anymore.’
‘Then you should have told him that nicely. I bet he’s pretty mad right now.’
‘And I’m not?’ – Sandy looked at Gustav offended.
‘Just talk to him and apologize.’
‘No. I’m not apologizing this time.’
‘Hey, dude! Remember when all 4 of us promised we would never-‘
‘Okay, Gustav, stop it! You’re telling me this every time Tom and I get into a fight. And it’s pretty often. But I say ‘sorry’ each time. This time he should decide whether he’ll say sorry and we’ll be back to normal, or this will be the end of our friendship. I’m just fed up with all this.’

‘Tom!’ – Georg called his name and Tom turned to the passenger seat.
Georg was standing there on the rain. Tom unlocked the car and Georg sat in.
‘Dude, why are you here outside in your car?’ – Georg asked.
‘Just chilling.’
‘Why did you yell at Sandy?’
‘She yelled at me.’
‘But she’s a chick.’
‘So? I’m a guy and that doesn’t make us different. She made such a big deal out of me not being there when she fainted.’
‘Tom, she didn’t say anything about that. You started it first.’
‘No, i-‘
‘Shush! Just listen to me. You started fighting over nothing. You know very well how she’s like when she’s ill. She obviously has a temperature and you know she doesn’t want us to worry. Even if she was dying. She’d rather leave it to herself then make us worry our asses of. So I want you to go back in there now and apologize. Okay? Are you immature enough to do that?’

Georg and Tom came back to the room when they saw a doctor standing there. Sandy was crying and Gustav was walking around the room.
‘…and then were the complications…’ – doctor was saying…

No.... please, tell me it's something else, please!!
