~ 39TH CHAPTER ~

-No, mom, i'm not coming back home. I gotta finish my collage here… I know, i know, but i'm not going to run away. Uff, i'm fine, don't worry so much… I know you're my mom, and your job is to worry, but i'm not a kid anymore. I think i learned how to handle these problems. Really, everything's okay. I'll be home on Christmas. Okay mom, bye bye… I love you too – i hung up.

Things were going great in Berlin for a change. It seemed like collage is an awesome place for a new start – with the one you love.
Bill and i moved in together. It was hard because we didn't have money and we were all alone in the place we knew nothing about. But our parents were sending us money. And we found some jobs. It was nice.

But as soon as everything got on its place, and we felt comfortable, things started going wrong.
I didn't pass some collage exams, Bill lost his job, i stopped talking with Karla & Jelena, only because we were all busy. But my biggest problem was Natasha, Bill's 'friend'.
She was always there when we wanted to be alone, always flerting with him and saying how great he is. Yeah, i know that.
But i tried not to think about it. Because i didn't want Bill to see how jealous i was. It would make me look crazy.
So i ignored it, or at least i tried to.

Bill : My parents want me to move back to Leipzig, or at least back to Zagreb, to my grandma.
-But we have just moved here – we were sitting in the livingroom of our new flat.
Okay, it wasn't something special, but we had each other. It was good enough for me.

Bill : I know, i know. But don't you think maybe it would be better in Zagreb. Or you can move with me to Leipzig. My parents would love to meet you – he said happily while putting his arm around my shoulders.
-Hmm, yes, it would be nice to finally meet them. But i don't know, i wanna try on my own.
Bill : But can't you see it's not going so great for us? – he moved his arm and looked at me kinda sadly, but still seriously.

-Ah, don't you think i don't know that? I just feel like… i need to do it on my own.
He stoop up and went to the bedroom.
-Hey, where are you going? – i yelled from the livingroom, while watching him leaving.
Bill : i'm tired.

I stood up and went after him.
I came to the bedroom's door – What's wrong? – i watched him getting into the bed – did i say something?
Bill : I said i'm tired.
-And why that weird look on your face?
Bill : Good night.
-Bill! – i yelled as he turned back to me madly.
Bill : What!?
-Nothing – i rolled and left the bedroom.

Katy : Ah, Lely, that's life.
-Our first fight.
Katy : It's going to be okay. I think it was just a moment of…
-A moment of? – i looked at her while we were driving in a bus to the collage.
Katy : Maybe he had a bad day. That's it.
-I don't know. It seems like things are getting worse.
Katy : Well, if you move to Leipzig, it would get better.
-You really think? – i looked down and sighed.

-Hii, i'm home – i put the keys on the desk and looked around the livingroom.
Bill : i'm in bedroom.

Bill : How was your day? – he yelled from the bedroom, and i was looking the bills and sitting on the sofa.
-Okay. Yours?
Bill : Well, good.
-Ow, i gotta talk to you. Tell you something – i put down the bills and went to the bedroom.
Bill : Yes, i have some news too.
-Who'll go first? – i smiled when i saw him sitting on the bed.
Bill : Me!
-Ok.

He took out the bouquet of tulips and gave it to me.
-Aww, my favorite – i smelt the bouquet.
Bill : Hehe i know. Well, now, first i wanna say that i'm sorry about yesterday evening. I shouldn't have acted like that. I was tired and couldn't think straightly. I know you like it here. I mean we're together. And we're doing everything ourselfs. It shows that we can be responsible.

-What are you trying to say?
Bill : Well, i talked to Natasha and, she agreed with you, and thinks we should stay. And keep on trying.
-You talked to Natasha?
Bill : Yep

Bill : What's wrong?
-I wanted to tell you that i think it would be good to move to Leipzig. That i have thought about it and it's a good idea.
Bill : But you said…
-I know. You said it too.
Bill : So, we're not having the same opinion again?
-We would if there wasn't Natasha – i whispered sarcasticly.
Bill : What?
-Ah, nothing. So, what now?
Bill : I don't know. We'll talk about it later.
-Later?
Bill : i'm tired – he turned and went to bed.

-Ok, stop! – i yelled.
He turned – Bill : Emm?
-Everytime we gotta talk, you're tired. Everytime we have a problem you go and… - i stopped – uff… You know what, not important. Go and… sleep – i walked out of the bedroom and flat, pissed.

I had no idea where was i going, no goal.
It started raining.
-Uff! Perfect! – i yelled while standing on the rain outside.

'Lely?' – i heard someone's voice behind me.
I turned and looked at her. She was the last person i wanted to talk to at the moment.
-Natasha – i acted happy to see her, but inside, i was burning.

-No, it's ok. I actually left so i could think about… some things – 'so i could think about how bitchy you are', were my thoughts actually.
Natasha : Ow. Is everything ok with you and Bill?
-Yes.
Natasha : Oh…

Oh? What was that? She seemed kinda disappointed that things are good between Bill & me.
-Well… i gotta go… standing on the rain – what the hell is wrong with me? I couldn't even think normally in her presence.
Natasha : Hehe. I'll call later. I'll need Bill something. Is that fine with you?
I literally wanted to slap her. She was all over Bill, the whole time. They were hanging and it seemed like he's closer to her than to me.

-Yes. Sure – i said, but i was on the edge to explode.
Natasha : See ya – she waved and smiled that perfect smile.
She had that perfect body, just like a model. And that blonde curly hair. Green eyes and that wonderful smile. So how couldn't i be jealous?

Eh, i tried to forget her. Erase her from my mind.
I wish my granny would be her now. She always knew what to do. As i said, my best friend.
And i missed Jelena and Karla so much. Like a piece of my heart was gone with them. I really wanted to go back to Zagreb again.

I took of the wet clothes and just fall on the bed. I was dead tired.

Bill : Lely? – i heard his voice.
-Yeah? – i replied with my eyes closed, already half sleeping.
Bill : Are you sleeping?
-Yes.
Bill : Obviously not. That's good.
-Please, Bill, i'm so freaking sleepy.
Bill : No, no. I just wanna say sorry. Again.
-It's ok – i gave him a fast kiss with my eyes closed – good night.

*Next day – in the morning*

I was in the bus with Katy again.
Katy : Eh, i know, Natasha's a bitch. We're in the same maths class. She always acts smart and blah, blah, blah… - she was saying it sarcasticly.
-Haha. I know. Ow, and yesterday, she offered me her help. Like, i can't stand on the rain with no reason?

We stopped and looked at each other.
-Oh my god! We're so pathetic. That girl is actually awesome.
Katy : I know. She's so perfect. But that's what i hate about her the most.
-Yeeees! Aaahhh – i looked outside the window.

Katy : Look who's coming – she whispered while looking away.
-What? – i looked at her and then i saw Natasha.
Natasha : Hehehe this is such a coincidence, right? – she started smiling.
-Hehe, yeah – i rolled with my eyes.

Natasha : So, girls, what were you talking about? Gossiping? – she was still smiling.
Katy : Yes. We were just talking about you – she replied ironically.
Natasha : Ow... Owwww, you're just making a joke. Haha, good one.

We both looked at her weirdly.
Katy : Is she on some drogs? – she whispered to me.
I put the hand on my mouth and started laughing.

A few minutes later, we arrived. Natasha insisted we go together to the school. Katy said she gotta meet somebody, went and left me with Natasha alone.
'You're sooo dead' – i sent a message to Katy while Natasha was talking about her eyes.

Natasha : So, i bought lens. I like green eyes more than brown. Don't you too? – she looked at me.
-Ow, what? Yes, yes. Me too – i had no idea what was she talking about, but anyway.

'Hello, girls!' – somebody yelled behind us.
We both turned. Natasha started smiling so ridiculously. I saw Bill was walking behind us. I smiled to him and he smiled back.
Bill : Hi baby – he kissed me in the lips.
HA! In your face Natasha!, i yelled inside me.
-Hi sexy.
He put his hands around us and we were walking together.
Why did he put his hand round Natasha's shoulders? -.-
Ahh, i was so obsessed with her. I needed a break.
I was looking down while they two were talking. I just wanted him to tell me 'i love you'. I didn't hear him saying that in a long time. I don't know why Natasha's perfection made me feel less worth.

Bill and i were walking through the collage's hall, holding hands.
Bill : Is everything okay? – he looked at me worriedly.
-Yes.
Bill : You seem nervous.
-I'm just… excited. You know, for Christmas. I'll visit my family in Zagreb.
Bill : I thought we're going to Leipzig to my parents.
-Well yes. But also to Zagreb. Karla and Jelena are planning to cone too. I can't wait to see them. I didn't talk to them in ages.
Bill : Call them.
-It's not the same.
Bill : It is. Both is expensive. Don't you think about the money. We can't afford us that.
-It's my family, for God's sake – we looked at each other strangely.
Bill : Okay, okay.

We continued walking. But we both new something was wrong. Just we didn't have enough strenght to say it outloud.
-You never told me why you left me.
Bill : What?
-You know, back then in zagreb.
Bill : Why? I mean, i thought we got through it. We said we won't talk about it again.
-i'm just interested.
Bill : Honey, please.
-Ok… - i sighed.

He took a deep breathe and said – Because i needed a break from your problems. From our problems. It was too much for me. Remember what we've been through? Well i wasn't ready for that. And i thought leaving without a word would make it easier. But guess it didn't. But then i realized it's better being with you and having some problems than not having you at all and pretend happy.

-Do you like Natasha? – i looked at him scaredly.
He started laughing and i looked down. He put his hand on my chin, making me look up, at him.
Bill : I love you. Is that enough?

Days were passing by. Everything was great on collage, Bill got his job back, and i haven't seen Natasha in days. Actually, it got me a bit worried. But i didn't care so much.

-Bill, you got a mail – i yelled from the bedroom as i heard he came home.
Bill : Hi to you too.
-How are youu?
He came into the room – Bill : Fine. Just missed you – he smiled and winked – where's the mail?
-Here – i raised the envelope which was right beside me on the bed, wanting him to come closer.
He layed next to me, smiled and was just looking at me.

-Yes? – i asked after some time, with a smile on my face.
Bill : Nothing. I just wanna look at you. It makes me happy.
-Hehe okay.

Bill : So, give me the envelope? – he asked after a few minutes.
-Yep.

A few seconds later he suddenly yelled – Bill : WHAT?!
-What's wrong? – i looked at him terrified.
Bill : Natasha…
-What?
Bill : She… is getting married O.o
-What? – i screamed so happily.
Bill : Yeah. But she never told me she's engaged.
-So? Let's just be happy for her – i hugged him.

Bill : I mean, we're like best friends. Why didn't she tell me she has a boyfriend.
-Why do you care? Just say you're glad for her. Plus, she's your best friend?
Bill : Yes, i mean, you and her… i don't know. And i thought we were telling each other everything.
-Everything,ha?
Bill : I didn't mean like that.
-It's ok, it's ok – i tried to calm myself down. Thought i'm my boyfriend's best friend, not some other girl.
Bill : We're invited on her wedding… - he said disappointed.
-What's wrong? – i layed closer to him, put my head on his chest.
Bill : Ahh, i'm just thinking about…
-About?
Bill : Our wedding. It would be so nice.
-Ow…
Bill : Don't you think the same?
-I do, of course i do. But we're too young.
Bill : You're 19, and i'm 20. We're not kids anymore.
-But our life would be… harder.
Bill : In which way?
-That feeling… i don't know, but when i think about it, i feel kinda trapped.
Bill : Marriage makes you feel trapped? – he asked with a strange voice, like he was trying to make me feel guilty – Do you feel trapped in our relationship? Because you can't do all the things you thought you'll be doing while you're 19? I don't understand it.
-Please, let's not fight – i fastly replied, with the tears in my eyes already.

I knew he wanted to marry me. he even proposed, but i said 'no'. It hurt him. And i never wanted to make him feel sad about anything. It just turned like that. It was killing me inside. He was my one and only. The one i could have always counted on. And of course i wasn't feeling trapped in our relationship. My thoughts seemed different when i actually said them outloud.

For a few minutes we were just laying next to each other, not talking. Then he finally said – Bill : I'm going out – he fastly stoop up and shut the front door.

I started crying. I took a pillow and hugged it tight. Why did he leave me alone?
I had a feeling like i won't see him ever again, like we're going to separate and there's no coming back. I just needed to feel his touch, hear his voice, see his smile.

He still wasn't home. Not even after 3 hours. I was dead worried now.
Maybe he… maybe he went to Natasha's house. And what if he did? Maybe they two will run away together, leave me and Natasha's guy here. Maybe she's better for him and…

My phone rang. I picked up.
'IDIOT!'
-JERK! – i yelled in my phone.
'Hahaha, what's up?' – it was obviously Karla.
-Omg! We haven't talked in…
Karla : Ages! I know. I miss you. And Jelena. Ahhh, i miss Zagreb.
-Uff, me too. I miss talking to you guys.
Karla : Yeah. How are you? What's new? Come on! Say whatever is on your mind – she seemed so happy. She didn't even know how miserable i felt at the moment.
-I'm fine. Everything's ok. You know…
Karla : My god! Your life seems pretty boring.
-Haha. What about you? How's your life with Tom?
Karla : Woohoo! It's great. He's so funny – she was talking so fast - I didn't know life with him could be this awesome. We go out everyday. He's telling his friends about me. I enjoy this time with him. And moving in with him was the greatest idea ever. He used to be lady's man, but i think he has changed. I mean, he's orbit all the way around me.
-Haha, that's nice, that's nice. And you seem kinda hyper.
Karla : No, it's just love.
-Ow, you're in love?
Karla : Emm…
-Ehehe i'm glad for you.
Karla : Well, aynway, where's Bill?
-Outside.
Karla : Ok.
-Ow, wait. I have somebody on the other line.
Karla : Sure.

-Yes? – i had another call.
'Is that… Lely Kaulitz?'
-What? No, it's Lely Tomić. Who's there?
'We're calling from Berlin Hospital. Mister Kaulitz is here. You're on his list who to call in a case of need.'
-Something happened to Bill?
'Can you please come?'

I took my things and run outside. I hung up on Karla, wasn't able to talk.
